Requiem for a Dream

24 hours is never enough.

Not when there’s this much assignments to be done, deadlines to be met, work to be found, money to be spent, sins to be repent.

I often find myself wondering, what drives us humans to march toward this troublesome force of productivity? The so-called Protestant ethics? The modern (or postmodern, if you like) overachieving soul? Or just the simple fact that time is short, dreams are long.

24 hours is never enough.

Good thing I can eat while I write, smoke while I type, blink while I think. Now if only I could multitask sleep, wouldn’t that give me some extra couple of hours?

But then again, it being so demanding of a certain, exclusive space of time, isn’t it what makes sleeping so special?

Sweet dreams everyone.
