A realization came to me, again, a few hours ago.
Something I admit and re-admit from time to time.
You don’t really want everyone to act they way you think they should.
You can’t afford to lose your self-righteousness.
You can’t afford to lose all those pats in back you give yourself everyday.
You can’t afford to lose the sense that you’re better than everyone else.
You’re not that nice. None of us are.
