Bubble on the Seine

Bubble on the Seine (1963) by Melvin Sokolsky

“You can get along with everyone, you’re easy-going but you live inside this big transparent bubble. You can always absorb everyone else but you never let anyone fully know who you really are. You live with your own set of strong thoughts, all inside that bubble around you.”

Rough, paraphrased quote of what a friend said about me a few days ago. Do I agree? Is it true? Not necessarily so. An interesting perspective nonetheless.
